Summer Induction Tasks
We are very pleased that you have decided to join the Sixth Form at Billericay School.
During the Induction Day on the 3 July 2017, subject teachers will help prepare students for Post 16 study by giving them a clear indication of the course content and details of any additional equipment or text books that they will need for the start of their courses. As well as this, subject teachers will give students summer preparation work in order to bridge the gap between their GCSE study and their A Level subjects in Year 12.
Students can download the Summer Induction Tasks (from below). You are expected to complete these during the summer break and your teachers will want to see evidence of your work in your first lesson with them in September. We believe that students who complete these tasks conscientiously, make a much better start to their Sixth Form studies, and are better equipped to cope with the demands of Year 12. You are asked to complete all of the work set, for your chosen subjects only.
As well as giving your new teachers an indication of your academic ability and your ability to study independently, these tasks will also give you an idea of the sort of content that you will be studying in the next two years and of the standard required for A Level studies.
We look forward to seeing you in the Sixth Form at Billericay School on Enrolment Day Tuesday 5 September 2017.
External applicants please note you are required to attend a pre enrolment meeting on Friday 1 September at 1pm
Details of enrolment and enrolment forms will be posted home.
Have a great Summer,
Sixth Form Team
