Appeals Process

If you believe that you have grounds for appeal, please complete an Appeal Form and return it direct to The Billericay School(for the attention of Mrs Barton, Admissions Officer).

Please be aware that in light of the ongoing health situation, the Government has released guidelines with regards to the hearing of appeals in person-alternative methods may be implemented.

Deadline for lodging an Appeal

Appeals are to be sent direct to The Billericay School.This is the latest date to lodge an appeal against a refusal of a place if you want an appeal to be heard before the end of the Summer term.

For those lodged late – i.e. after deadline date and not heard by the end of the Summer term.

  • The Billericay School will write to parent/carer’s of students that are listed on the school’s waiting list for September 2023 Intake (once published by the Local Authority), providing details of how to lodge an appeal.

  • Admission authorities may make arrangements for appeal hearings to be held in person or remotely by video conference or a mixture of the two (hybrid).  Appeals lodged by parents/carers in relation to refusal of a place at The Billericay School will be held remotely (via Zoom).
