Congratulations to all of our Year 11 students who collected their results today.
We know you have completed your courses during a period of considerable disruption caused by the pandemic and your response has been inspiring. Today we recognise your hard work and resilience – you have achieved an excellent set of GCSE results.
We are very proud to announce that a staggering 25% of our students achieved grades at 8 and above – this is a testament to the ability and commitment to studies of those students!
86% of the cohort entered the English Baccalaureate suite of examinations. This is the gold standard set by the Government and includes English, Mathematics, two or more Sciences, and a humanity based subject along with a modern foreign language. 84% of our students successfully achieved this, with 42% gaining this with strong passes (grade 5 or above) in both English and Mathematics.
As always, many students will return to The Billericay School to continue with their education and we look forward to welcoming them back in September.
For those who leave us for further study, training or employment elsewhere, we wish each and every one of you all the very best and look forward to hearing more about your successes in the future.
We are so proud of you all.
