Work Experience
According to a report from the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, 74% of employers think that experience is important when they make decisions about hiring. With this in mind, and knowing that students who have had ‘real world’ experiences of work are more likely both to achieve better qualifications and make even better decisions about their futures, we re-introduced last academic year a compulsory one week work experience programme for all students in Year 10. This academic year, this will take place from Monday 3 June until Friday 7 June.
