• Tuesday 15 July 2025 Year 9 Dive Into Adventure at ESSA Water Activities Centre! A group of our adventurous Year 9 students recently took part in an action-packed day at the ESSA Water Activities Centre in Nazeing, tackling a range of exciting challenges including rafting, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding!
• Monday 14 July 2025 German Exchange 2025 The German Exchange 2025 recently returned from a 12 day trip to Reutlingen, near Stuttgart. Our students enjoyed staying with their Exchange partners, attending lessons at our German partner school, the Albert Einstein Gymnasium, and going on many day trips in the local area. They were a credit to themselves and the school in all that they did. Recruitment for the German Exchange 2026 will begin in October 2025, come and join us in Germany next year!
• Thursday 10 July 2025 Year 7 and 8 Colour Run 2025 As part of The Billericay Adventure Programme, we held our annual Year 7 and 8 Colour Run. First we had a visit from 'King Wippy', the ice cream van then the afternoon was finished off by over 500 students taking part in a very hot colour run on our bottom field.
• Wednesday 9 July 2025 Year 8 Make a Splash at ESSA Water Activities Centre! A group of our adventurous Year 8 students recently enjoyed an action packed day at the ESSA Water Activities Centre in Nazeing, taking part in a variety of exciting challenges including rafting, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding!
• Wednesday 9 July 2025 French Culture Day On Monday 7 July, year 8 French students had the opportunity to participate in a French Cultural Day. This involved four different activities, designed to enhance students' knowledge and appreciation of French culture. Thank you to our Year 8 French students for their enthusiasm in participating in the day's events and thank you to Mrs Rey, Mrs Bellers, Miss Ouali, Miss Huang and Mrs Bright for running the activities.
• Tuesday 8 July 2025 Year 7 Fundraising Success – Personal Development Day 2025 Today, as part of our annual Personal Development Day, each Year 7 form group worked collaboratively to design, plan, and run a charity fundraising stall for the rest of the school.
• Tuesday 8 July 2025 We are World Record Breakers! On Tuesday 1 July, 20 of our amazing Year 9 and 10 'Shine' students took part in Jamie Oliver's Greatest World Record attempt — aiming to set the record for the largest cookery class ever held.
• Tuesday 8 July 2025 Work Experience Week Year 10 Work Experience WeekFirstly, a huge congratulations to all Year 10 students who participated in the Year 10 Work Experience Week! 93% of our Year 10s were able to spend the week out of school, with a wide variety of employers across the area. The feedback from placements has been really positive – some have even been offered weekend and holiday work as a consequence!
• Tuesday 17 June 2025 Year 9 Bake Off - June 2025 Congratulations to all of the Year 9 students who baked cakes on yesterday, 16 June. The bakes were amazing and the Governors really struggled to select the top three cakes, so chose top commendations for flavour and presentation, as well as the overall top three places.

• Friday 4 April 2025 Year 10 Battlesfield Trip 38 Year 10 and 12 students travelled to Belgium and France to learn about the First World War. They visited museums, First World War cemeteries and battlefield sites.
